perfSONAR-PS is an open source development effort to create a colletion of easy-to-use and easy-to-install perfSONAR network performance monitoring services and tools.
pS-Performance Toolkit 3.2 RC 1 released
The first release candidate of the pS-Performance Toolkit 3.2 is now available for download. This version does not replace the 3.1.x series as the officially supported release. Testers are encouraged to send feedback to the development team. This version offers:
- Underlying Linux distribution based on CentOS 5.5
- Updated perfSONAR software
- N.B. Upgrade capability from 3.1.x is not supported in this RC
The release is available as:
- A Live CD that is capable of operating in a non-destructive maner on the machine's hard disk.
- A Net-install CD that will overwrite the machine's hard disk as a part of installation.
pS-Performance Toolkit 3.1.3 released
pS-Performance Toolkit 3.1.3 is now available for download. This version adds:
- Regular active latency tests and archiving
- Integrated (wizard-style) administrative screens
- Streamlined startup (no configuration needed to use as a 'target' of measurements)
- User interface enhancements
- Improved VMware support
- Updated linux kernel (2.6.27.45) with web100
- Updated monitoring tools to latest versions
- Increased support for 10g ethernet devices
Upgrading existing deployments of the "NPToolkit" or "Performance Toolkit" is recommended. Release notes are available here.
perfSONAR-PS services bundle 3.1 released
Version 3.1 of perfSONAR-PS services are now available for download. perfSONAR-PS services including the SNMP-MA, perfSONAR-BUOY, Lookup Service, Topology Service, Status, PingER, and the LS Registration Daemon have all been enhanced:
- perfSONAR-BUOY adds OWAMP support
- Stability and performance enhancements across all services
